Birthday Parties at CSIRO Discovery, Canberra

Celebrate your child's special day with stick insects, turtles, hands-on activities and personalised attention from our staff.

With live creatures to interact with, plenty of hands-on activities for engaging young minds and room to run wild, CSIRO's Discovery Centre is the ideal home for your child's next birthday party, from age 4 upwards.

Parties are held weekends only with 4 sessions available: 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

Phone CSIRO Discovery on 02 6246 4603 to make a booking for your child's birthday party.

Ninety minutes of activities which includes live creatures (stick insects and turtles), lab time and a 3D movie.

All parties are self-catered – 30 minutes is allocated at the end for 'party food' time.

Cost is A$200 for 15 children, additional children – A$10/child.

A A$50 deposit is due upon reservation, with full payment due before the party day. For a full refund, participants must notify CSIRO Discovery seven days before the event or forfeit deposit.

There are no refunds for cancellations on the day of the party.
