The Pacific Climate Change Science Program is a A$20 million science program to help Australia's neighbouring island countries gain a better understanding of how climate change will impact the region.

Working with partner countries, the Pacific Climate Change Science Program will:

track recent and current climate trends
-
investigate regional climate drivers
-
provide regional climate projections
-
improve understanding of ocean processes including acidification and sea level rise.
The Pacific Climate Change Science Program will be managed by the Australian Department of Climate Change in collaboration with AusAID and it will be delivered by the Bureau of Meteorology and the CSIRO through their research partnership in The Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research.
To support this vital science program The Centre is currently undertaking a major recruitment campaign to assemble an outstanding team of scientists and specialist staff.
